Dave smith MoPho
$400 monophonic fully analog synth with curtis filters.
Isnt that about 10 euros now?
I just got one and i must say WOW you know when you first heard a creamware card? its like that.
and something you cant do unless you have your entire system on 88 or higher sample rate is play at the very top of the keyboard and never hear any aliasing or other crap.
It drips with analogness!
It sounds nothing at all like the evolver. the evolver has that sort of semi digital waldorf sound. dont get me wrong its very useful and versatile. but it is a completely different animal.
i have another "true analog" but its dedicated to 303 sounds (Future retro revolution)
and a DSI evolver, as well as the semi analog(filters only) in the spectralis the one voice of MoPho shines
and its actually got more stuff than those oh so expensive moogs. and i dont really like the sound of moog filter unless i want to make "zaps"
oh and moogerfooger? LOL sure ill pay $400 for a circuit i can make for $40 and get a custom panel made for $50
its the first post on my new blog.

MoPho.. get one!
Re: MoPho.. get one!
you guys are being ripped off. canadian dollar is worth 0.6 euros and i paid 420 thats around 250 euros before tax.
i think we are getting overlap from when the canadian dollar was at 1 USD.
i like it a LOT. the other store i ordered from got it in and instead of telling them to sell it to someone else....well

Re: MoPho.. get one!
I've actually been debating this myself. For some reason the evolver never 'took' me (played a lot with the version you have there) but from playing with a Mopho brought by a visitor from Portland, can't see any reason why not if I have the spare change floating around.
