I want to know what's up with xite-1
I was just thinking... wouldn't it be nice to have some sort of blog or diary where we can follow up on what's up with xite-1? I'm not in the crowd of "release now or die" people, and I'm fine with SC taking whatever time they need to finish it. I just want to know: 1. in general because it keeps me interested, and 2. as a professional so I can properly budget it at the right timing. It doesn't have to be interactive at all, no comments, no replies... since some people might confuse it with a place to offer their valuable consumer perspective opinions. (which they should figure out a way to gather, after launch) Seems fairly standard marketing these days.

S|C would score a lot on keeping an open channel to the audience. Im not iviting to an open chat channel or anything like that. But to be honest, i think its too late atm, as the development would now be at the stadium were a blog actually would be very... quiet. the big picture is obviously set, the remains now will be concerning bugs which only a handful here would know and care about, and those are in contact with s|c allready, and economical/practical issues that is better kept internal.
BUT, if this baby get a proper launch, they SHOULD involve "the crowd" on the next obvious step, which would would be more targeted at the commoner on this site.

SC really arent doing too well on this one.. ( i am talking strictly public relations!!)
I have to say that if they keep up like this, then... you won't be the first one bying other products than the xite!
i totally understand you... and i dont get what SC are doing.

If exceeding planned release date and risking to displease people waiting for Xite because of a lack of infos means focusing on reaching initial specifications, giving THE killer result we are all waiting for, this is fine for us all I guess.
But it is clear for me that learning about development stages and more generally of problems they encounter would be interesting! Few companies are doing that actually but that would allow us to plan what to do:

- "ok, not gonna be released in the next few months seeing where they are, then I shall use my money for some other things/plugins I need now and I'll have time to save again."
"ok, imminent release date so I keep cool until it is out".

Mr A, i think you bought well with the taurus, whatever sc do
I've been getting into this with Noah & a set of Roland PK-5A bass pedals. Long live live multitasking

i was originally looking at the PK-5As too for live work. Coupled with something of bass power (maybe Minimax) this would have worked out quite expensive too, plus if i did get desperate the Taurus will hold it's value. The fact that it will be the same spec but with MIDI, CV/Gate and arpeggiator means it's actually better than the original.wayne wrote:Mr A, i think you bought well with the taurus, whatever sc do

The balancing payment won't be till November next year at the earliest anyway, so plenty of time to blow more cash on XITE in the mean time (i think it will be out before Nov 2009

I'm surprised investors haven't pulled out by now.. or do they not work off of investors..
