The PCI-e stack is a 34mm, w/ a 54mm or 34mm choice on the top.
I got a 15% Black Friday discount so the absurd idea of having a Nevadan paying taxes wasn't quite as painful.
They explained that because of International shipping and licesnses in every one of the States I couldn't slide.
I am happy as a pig in shit.

I wouldn't know my way around a Mac, but I did check the Macbook Pro....real nice.
Walkin' Prostitutes ??
Good thing I didn't see one of those on the way home. The BunnyRanch is too close to my crib. I sometimes fell it's magnetic pull. Plus the ads they do are magnificient.

Ah ok. Here was me thinking you were talking about my XITE-1 cash generating business plan involving long legged hookers.

The thread has a new edition which is just perfect for a laptop mobile rig.
Leave the big 16U at the showroom, and take the drives for the matinee gig with one of these.
It can also use 2.5" VelociRaptors, or the good old 3.5" Raptor 150's.
This attaches to the Dual Port eSATA 34mm external PCI-e connector.
XITE-1 can use the other 34mm/54mm port.
Even a little USB Hub for dongles, etc.
So many great little devices to connect to laptops.

Yeah, this whole 64 bit thing can be avoided.
We mostly are 32bit guys here because of our cards, etc.
Just reading about the frustration and wasted time from going that route convinced me to stay put.
I have definately earned my new mobile rig, as I have drug this gigantic bastard around for 4 years and now I can look forward to rolling a 4U in, and one more dolley run for Solaris and KS88/Speakers.
Occassionally I set up opposite of guys w/ Tritons, etc. As I sweat setting up up the entire stage is the only time I question myself about having such an elaborate rig.
Once the sound check's over and these cats come over and say how are you getting this and that sound, and man that sucker sounds so big, thats the payoff.
The only guys who remain silent with jacked off faces are the drummers, as most of these guys have Electro drums that are dated, and sound canned, or real drums that are way too loud and out of tune. Their silence is a compliment.
VDAT as a pre recorded drum and backing vocal solution is a serious weapon I doubt can be replaced.
The Lenova guy kept saying are you sure you don't want the Vista Upgrade ?..............
I want a fresh 32bit install. Do not even put that sucker on my HDD.
The only risky move is the SSD for the internal drive. I will have the luxury of a working stable rig until I see this thing in action.
It's been one helluva year for sure.

I like TOE's.
I just hope others use a laptop w/ XITE-1 so I can leave Holger alone.
I look forward to meeting the SC guys and John Bowen in Janurary.
And yes, I will be taking many, many pics of gear, and babes, and several low angle shots of Ralf, Holger Jurgen and JB for a real " Founding Fathers " picture.

Messe would be awesome, but I cannot afford that. NAMM '09 is a simple fly in fly out no room trip for 180 USD, as long as I get a badge..... ...Ankyu......ankyuvarymush.
