I'm trying to install Modular2 synth for first time.
Need:
Product serial number
Activation key

Is this free with Pulsar2 or do I have to pay extra?
Is there a definitive list of all the software that's free with Pulsar?

Unfortunately, they stopped giving the Modular2 away and are now giving something else (Poison? Not sure.) It was announced to all registered CW people via email, and on the Pulsar-Scope list.

You should still get something for free though, those numbers are in your manual and on a sticker on the physical card.

Here's some good links for free devices:

http://www.siegelmusic.de/userdevices.html
http://212.118.205.36/SEITEN/New_pulsa_devic.htm

If you're on a dial-up it'll take quite a few hours to download them all. Have fun.

cheers,

And here's Creamware's list of links:
http://www.creamware.de/en/links/freepl ... ODUCTS/XTC

Modular2 is still available on the Creamware site free for registered users. However, a post on the CW forum said that it wasn't working anymore. That sort of sounds right, because in an email bulletin late last month CW said it would stop giving away ModV2 free for new users on its site and instead give away the FM synth called Poison.

That made some Pulsar users happy (new device!), but as yet it isn't available and CW aren;t saying anything.

So where does that leave us? Who knows...
Here's the Modular link:
http://www.creamware.de/en/Home/default.asp
Click on "registration" on the left and follow the prompts. The ModV2 file downloads in seconds

cheers,
Spirit

Thank for your reply.
OK so it was free but no longer. Bit of a shame as it was described in one of the magazine articles that switched me onto the card. Also the Pulsar documentation includes a tutorial on how to use it. Strange for a product that's not included.

I checked the shop and it's listed there at 198 Euro. The Vectron is 298 and I'm sure they won't be giving that away just yet.

Thanks Spirit
Didn't see your post till after my last one. Looks like I just missed out on the Modular but there seems to be plenty of other stuff to keep me occupied for now.

If it still works grab it ASAP Doodyrh! It's by far the best synth for Pulsar.

Thanks for the tip.
I dashed there as fast as I could, upsetting various market stalls and funerals on the way. But too late. All that remained was a chalice of Poison which I will gulp down in my disappointment.

Well I find this strange. As I understood it all users that registered before the time limit that was given by Creamware (in the E-mail) should be able to get the Modular2. You should send Creamware line about this.

Ok ! No more about the fantastic ModV2.

Another excellent synth is the Saturn. You should find it free on one of the links posted above. It's supposedly based on the Jupiter 6 and has some great sounds. The three-0-three, ZS404, and Lo-Fi are also good - especially for the price of $0.

After a few weeks you'll probably find that you'll never want to boot up one of the default CW synths again.
