To sum it up quickly.........
Scope uses DSP's
Kontackt and Gigastudio 4 hog the RAM and use light CPU cycles.

An excellent new BETA I just recieved has Physically Modeled instruments. These use RAM in smaller amounts, and a moderate use of the CPU. Since I just upgrade that CPU from the early E series to a new E8600 it nade that upgrade a worthy one.
These giant memory hogs from Kontackt 2 & 3 were pushing me towards the 64bit O.S. more and more, but the new BETA is a Grand Piano, w/ sostenuto pedals ( that actually work ), a Fender Rhodes and a Wurlitzer 200A. This allowed me to avoid using over 6GB's of samples of Giga Libraries. Now I can load all of the important VSTi Romplers for my Horns, and the new MTron from GMedia.
Now for the first time I 'm actually using my available resources equally, and do not need to rush into a new O.S. or 64bit.
Scope can run my synths, hardware and software effects, mixers, B2003, Modular and Six-String.
GVI and K2 can run all of my libraries and Romplers, using mostly RAM.
The new BETA can do the Pianos and cash in those unused CPU IPS's, and 32bit will live on for another year or so.
This means a cheaper laptop if I chose to go that way.
Once someone gets rid of those cheezy IR's and FX that these sampler developers think sound good, the CPU usage is next to nothing.

I can't divuldge any details on the developer until it's release. But I have been looking at similar products for a few years now and most of them sucked major butt crack.
Some were O.K. I guess, if you never played a real one.
But there are finally some good Physically modeled instruments coming out and I believe it's because of the strength of the newer Intel and AMD designs. Actually AMD was always a better choice for soft reverbs and phys. mods. until the Conroe became available.

And yes, Brotha' Man Astro's advice has always been taken into account everytime I make decisions, as well as others at Da' Z.
He's been right about apps, CPU's, synths, etc..............a regular E.F.Hutton. ( That's an American Broker who when he walks into a noisy Wall Street opening, the rooms goes silent to hear what he says. ).

I see. Yet another mysterious thingie, another mysterious unseen by the masses gizmo from the mysterious vaults of the NSA. From the same stable as the mysterious Solaris V5 and mysterious Xite BoomBox 1, I'll warrant.
