I had this problem whereby I would hear strange clicks coming from pulsar for no reason, the cause of them was my Sony minidisc deck, basically I hooked up the coax spdif out of the deck to the in of my pulsar, and connected it in software.
Now even though the deck wasn't playin anything I'd get strange clicks, If I set the pulsar to slave, clicks dissapear.

It seems obvious I know cus the minidisc needs to be the master if I want to record from it. But my point is you wouldn't expect it to make clicks when its inactive, just because it isn't the master.

Of course you would - if you have a clocking problem you will get clicks, for sure. This happens with almost all digital equipment including digital mixers, adat machines, etc.

Very nice to know actually...
Obvious when you know, but frustrating when you don't.
