another remix of the nevereding story song

Post by kensuguro »

Another one!! well, this one is a remix I did as a starting kit for the remixers for the film's themesong. They'll be getting track bounces of this, sans the strange mastering effect I used.

The mastering effect here, I used m-s encode, and applied a bunch of different effects on each part. Sort of a pseudo "broken dolby encoding" effect I guess. The mid channel has a random low pass and random mod delay. The side channels have a random low pass, random decimator, and a radom mod delay. So, it's like the whole thing is just broken. But I really like the variety that just happens by chance. Some moments, I really like the specific sound. Sounds like a really bad sample, or almost like an audio track from a video tape.. One strange side effect is that the track got extremely loud for some reason.. so turn down your volume!

The progression used here is exactly the same as the previous, more electro one. Albeit a more disco twist. Well, it's pretty much all out disco. This one's title is "Around The World On A Frickin' Mirror Ball Remix".

i like it.

i do think the more extreme effects are unnecessary. the tune is sounding good, and it's really enough.

this is a much better mix in that the lows, mids and highs are in the right proportion and the instruments and vocals are well balanced.
