AIUTOOOOOOOOOOOO -------- Problema scope.sys con sonar

Hi, I have a problem that it harasses to me. I have from some acquired week pulsar 1 + LUNA. I have installed all and I have taken in test the version Sonar 7. _ When start sonar and go to shape the audio, the Wave Profiler (WDM Kernel Streaming), set up on MME, me recognize all the frequency of the card audio (from 11025Hz until to 192000Hz) but when go in recording the PC is crash with the famous shield Blue (hateful) where show me like errror IRQ_ etc.etc with Scope.sys. If instead in the audio configuration I insert WDM/KS, always the WAve Profiler (WDM Kernel Streaming) recognizes me only the frequency to 44100 Hz saying to me that the other frequencies are not available. In this case all and not và PC in crash works. I wanted to only know if I have mistaken some passage, also because in this way I can only use a frequency, instead with MME, I can choose the frequency that it make me comfortable. A last thing… I have noticed that the driver in Scope v.4.5 they are for windows 2000 and 98, exist also for XP or those of the 2000 go well equally? help me, please…

Ciao ragazzi ho un problema che mi assilla. Ho da qualche settimana acquistato una pulsar 1 + luna. Ho installato il tutto ed ho preso in prova la versione di Sonar 7. Quando avvio sonar e vado a configurare l'audio, il WAve Profiler(WDM Kernel Streaming), impostato su MME, mi riconosce tutte le frequenze della scheda audio(da 11025Hz fino a 192000Hz) ma quando vado in registrazione il pc và in crash con la famosa schermata Blu(odiosa) dove mi porta come errrore IRQ_ etc.etc con Scope.sys. Se invece nella configurazione audio inserisco WDM/KS, sempre il il WAve Profiler(WDM Kernel Streaming) mi riconosce solo la frequenza a 44100 Hz dicendomi che le altre frequenze non sono disponibili. In questo caso funziona tutto ed il PC non và in crash. Volevo solo sapere se ho sbagliato qualche passaggio, anche perkè in questo modo posso usare solo una frequenza, invece con MME(anche se sò che un pò datato come driver) posso scegliere la frequenza che + mi fà comodo. Un ultima cosa... ho notato che i driver in Scope v.4.5 sono per windows 2000 e 98, esistono anche per XP o quelli del 2000 vanno bene ugualmente? Non sò ragazzi, aiutatemi voi, per favore...

il driver per xp credo che non e simile con 2000 e forse hai fatto un errore al tuo instalazione con questo
the xp drivers i think that are not the same with 2000 and maybe there is the problem.

Hi, AFAIK kernel streaming driver isn't supported by scope, so use MME.

Important:
The irqs associated with scope cards must be the same on the two cards and must not be shared with other devices. Check this with Start->Run->msinfo32.exe->Hardware Resources->IRQs.

If the irqs aren't ok, move the cards to other slots of the mainboard or disable conflicting peripherals. At least the "master" scope card should not share the irq. (The "master" is the first one that appears in the dsp load window)

Importante:
L' irq associato alle schede scope deve essere lo stesso, e non deve essere condiviso con altre periferiche. Controlla con Start->Esegui->msinfo32.exe->Risorse hardware->IRQs.


Se gli irq non fossero a posto, sposta le schede di slot sulla scheda madre oppure disabilita le perifieriche in conflitto. Almeno la scheda Scope "master" delle due non deve avere irq condivisi. (La scheda master è quella che compare per prima nella finestra dsp load)

Ciao, la config che hai riportato dovrebbe andare bene, la cosa pessima è quando le schede condividono l'irq con altre periferiche tipo l'usb o la rete.
Hi, the config you reported should be ok, the worst thing is when the cards share an irq with other peripherals like usb controllers or lan.

Sonar non supporta gli Asio, vero? come ha detto Stardust, sono i driver più stabili (su win) ed adatti a fare audio. Se puoi usa quelli e finisce (spero) lì tutto il problema.
Sonar doesn't support Asio, right? As Stardust said, Asio is the stabler (under win) and more reliable audio driver. If you can, use it and (I hope) everything will be ok.

A questo punto, se il problema non è di irq e se non hai alcun sospetto in particolare, bisogna iniziare a rivedere un po' tutto il tuo pc e il sw installato.
Now, if the problem isn't about irqs and you don't have any particular suspicion, you need to check almost everything in your pc and installed software.

Puoi fare una installazione da zero di Windows (tipo su un'altra partizione)?
Su un sistema pulito sarebbe più semplice individuare il problema.
Can you perform a clean install of Windows from scratch (i.e. on another partition)?
On a clean system it would be simpler to find the problem.

Puoi controllare le seguenti cose:
You may check these things:

- configurazione di Sonar? (dimensione dei buffer audio, priorità del processo, caching...) Sonar configuration (buffering, priority of processes, caching...)
- installazione di Scope (ci sono tutti i file? ce ne sono read only?) Scope installation (Are all file present and not read only?)
- hai attaccato correttamente il cavo S/TDM tra le due schede Scope? Have you correctly connected the two Scope boards with the S/TDM cable?
- eventuale installazione del vecchio driver 3.1b di Scope se processore xxxxCore o HyperThreading, alcuni dicono che è meglio old 3.1b Scope driver installation in case of xxxxCore o HyperThreading processor, some say it is better
- software installati (antivirus?) Installed software
- Servizi di Windows attivi e configurazione di Windows (memoria virtuale... prestazioni...) Windows Services and system configuration (virtual memory... performance issues)
- impostazioni del bios e delle periferiche bios and peripherals settings
- service pack e opzioni di installazione service packs and install options
- aggiornare i vari driver delle periferiche update devices drivers
- aggiornare il bios della scheda madre (a proposito, qual'è? quanta memoria hai?) update motherboard bios (what mobo? how much memory?)

Puoi passare (se non l'hai già fatto) a prendere in esame un po' di tutorial generici per la configurazione pc per audio (vedi http://www.musicxp.net o il search su questo forum... )

Purtroppo non è facile far funzionare bene Win con l'audio, bisogna smanettare un pochetto.
Unluckily it's not easy to make Win work well with audio, a little tweaking is needed.

Questo caso qui è ben noto (un baco dell'installer) quando alcuni file d'installazione sono read-only e perciò non accessibili, puoi correggere questo problema con questo script:
This is a well known (installer bug) which causes some files to be read-only and, so, not accessible. You can correct the problem with this script:

i (and many other people) use ASIO driver with sonar 6 and have no problems.
don't use the other audio options in sonar!!!

then load the ASIO source/dest module in the SFP window (i suppose you know how to do it! )

Un'osservazione: perchè la sonic core non provvede a mettere in mercato dei driver adeguati e risolvere le problematiche di incompatibilità? Ciao e graize ancora per la tua collaborazione.

Well I suppose that the problem you encountered is a Sonar's one, wave MME driver always worked flawlessly with Scope.
I repeat: ASIO *IS* the choice for audio on Windows, not only for Scope.
Kernel streaming wave driver was an attempt to provide a "standard" concurring with ASIO, but sorry ASIO remains the best (the only) driver.


About SonicCore:

SonicCore is a new company, they're on the market since a year, after Creamware bankrupted, and they inherited all the Creamware stuff.
Creamware was responsible for not having developed or updated the software for years. They missed some goals like the osx version of Scope (very important and strategic) and, yes, also the kernel streaming wave driver...

but now things are changing... SC is developing new hardware and software and adding driver support for Vista and Mac OSX.
