What is the max number of physical outputs for 1 scope card?

A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

Scope cards come in different configurations. I believe the IO master is a 3xADAT card. 24 ADAT in and out.

I think with a Plus output, you can use the Z-link and ADAT at the same time, no?

That would be:

Z-Link = 16 out

2 x ADAT @ 48kHz = 16 out

AES/EBU out = 2 out

Analogue out = 2 out

For a total of 36 outputs (and the same number of inputs).

Is that right?

no. the plus plate has no Z-Link ports.

either you get 20 channels with the classic or plus plate or 24 adat only with the adat plate or 16+8+2+2 (28) with the Z-Link plate.
the maximum is, nevertheless, (yes I know it's no pulsar) the luna / scope home with the adat expansion, having 16+16+2+2 (36) channels.

please not that the max channel count depends on the sample rate, and the luna adat expansion does no s/mux.

Ok then....here is the next question İ have 2 scope boards and 2 A16. İ want to connect a third A16 what do i need??

İs ADAT/Z-Link I/O Expansion for 3 DSP/Home an option to consider or is there a nother solution??

Thanks everybody for helping....

If you have a spare PCI slot then another Scope Home/Luna/PowerSampler board would be the cheapest option + the bonus of 3 more DSP's

well, there are several possibilities.

if we assume you have 2 professional or project cards with classic or plus plate where the A16 are connected via adat you can:

- add another scope professional or project with plus or classic plate and use its adat port to connect the A16
- use a Z-Link plate for the 3rd board if it is an A16U and use the Z-Link connection (and have another 8 adat channels for future use)
- add a scope home board with adat expansion and either hook up an A16 with adat or an A16U with Z-Link (or adat) and have the other I/O options available for future use

in any case you will benefit from additional DSP power, depending on what board you choose.

Well dear friends thats my problem. İ dont have one more pci slot so i need a solution without adding another dsp card.

İ remember scope cards with 3 pairs of ADAT(24 in/outs). İs there no possibility to add more outputs to a board that already has outputs??

Tank for helping and have a nice day.

so you maybe need a pci extender.

there were adat plates with 24 adat I/O, but they don't sell them anymore (officially). maybe you can ask ralf if there are some left.

adding more outputs to a board that has already an I/O plate on it is not possible. you can swap them, but not use more than one at a time.
