Hi Guys,
Is it possible to change the synth loaded in single mode via midi?

Changeing synth via midi
Re: Changeing synth via midi
Good question...
I made a few attempt to achieve this and ... find no solution. The program change management allows you to change program within a device but not to change device.
I thought a workaround could be found by building up a set of multi with only one device activated but the program change messages still affect the single preset rather than make the noah change its performance. The trick if one is to find should be there but I couldn't find a way to make it work ... so far.
As the Noah allows a bank to contain 128 presets, the program change messages just let you choose one of these presets but not the devices.
Another workaround would be to get you a Plugiator where this seem to be working with a quite surprising solution. As you only have 100 presets per device there, the program change message 101 to 108 let you activate the device selection with a program change + keyboard key press combination.

Re: Changeing synth via midi
Can't you make the Noah change its performance by transmitting a program change on channel 16? That's how mine's set up, and that would indeed let you change devices with a simple program change command.HUROLURA wrote:I thought a workaround could be found by building up a set of multi with only one device activated but the program change messages still affect the single preset rather than make the noah change its performance. It just works as you described it Danimalia !!!
I did not find any hints about this in the manual before.
The Noah is just better than I thought ....
Andy, you have your solution ...

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the posts, I had though of this but changing multis is very slow.
Maybe a multi for each device and then program changes within the device is the way to go and then only changes between devices will be slow.
Once again thanks for the help

4PC + Scope 5.0 + no more Xite + 2xScope Pro + 6xPulsarII + 2xLunaII + SDK + a lot of devices (Flexor III & Solaris 4.1 etc.) + Plugiator.
