UAD is making promo video, why sonic core is not??

Those SHARCs have lots of built in I/O as well as memory controllers so not putting it in must have been either laziness or as a way to screw the customers (more expensive card with i/o? i/o plate type thing?) who knows

someone should put a bunch of the new SHARCs in a 1U box which is connected to a PCIE card, and can route anything to anything, synth, audio, mixing and effects.

At any rate.

I invite anyone who comes to Tahoe some evenings of fun and great skiing starting in early November, I cannot guarentee I can play these covers after New Years though. Once I put a few large in my pockets I usually bail, and move on. I have to constantly perform w/ different people or I become quite stale. If it were improv I could hang forever with some great players, but this a commercial money maker, and I grow weary quickly.

With XITE-1 I can make massive synths for the first time using all of my favorite patches and developers so all of this money won't keep me interested when I know I could be jammin' in a dive where no gamblers or pimps show up. Just musicians and fine Ho's. It's wine women and song for me. Besides I can buy another XITE-1, take a commission and either place a Mannequin onstage, or hire a another fron person that plays Saxophone.

Alfonso you started this, and as usual we collaborate well together. I blame you for my endless ravings. It's hard for me to stop once I get started.

You are awesome. This guy would be perfect w/ Scope. He's a young talented chap, and live gigging is becoming so rare these days from the fake shows, etc. I am guilty of it myself, but I tear it up when I play, and I think this guy might share my attitude.

Let me know how it goes. I hope we suceed in our endeavor. I feel like a drug dealer of sorts, getting some poor chap hooked on Scope......................No worries.

Doesn't ALWAYS have to be slick and fancy. Besides, this video is all promotional, and doesn't show any real application (at least until UA posts some).

And we need to definitely post the distinctions (and advantages in features) of Scope over UAD (IMO).

yeah, probably among the leaders in the least content per minute ratio battle
it only works by the brands below the clip anyway...
the only point is to get those brands into your workstation for as few cash as possible, as with my own interest in their Roland bundle (for ex)

this is a completely different cup of tea than the workflow concept of Scope.
The UAD stuff is really simple (in that regard) as they leave that to the supplier of the sequencer.

Soniccore definitely needs to improve their marketing concept, f**k me! Sometimes I ask myself if they ever did a SWOT-Analyse, because they surely lack of a proper product management. And if they won't recognize their weaknesses, they'll be running out of money again sooner than they think. Of course a sore dick marketing campaign will cost a bit, but how do you want to sell a product without the needed supplying channels and without any attention of the music industry? To have the new website is a start, but it's still not enough. And why have the John Bowen Chronicles not been updated as announced? There's just not enough going on, despite having x-ite1 at the starting line...

Well, these are of course not the right arguments. I think one of the problems is that no one really knows what scope is capable to do. there's no need to say it's awesome, but there's no need for understatement either.

S|C needs to point out all the advantages, the routing, the live possibilities, that it is a huge virtual studio with everything you need to make music, no matter what kind.

So, YES, S|C, do a video what scope is capable of!
I'm close to do one by myself, but I need an xite-1 for that

I surely wouldn't give 3000 for a box I've never heard of. or as katano said, a box with possibilities nobody knows of.

what do you need an XITE for at all ?

this is pro audio and not toys'r'us - a niche by default and that does by no way mean it's an economic desaster.
you know I sold Macs when they were rather exotic items (prestigous)... what you don't know is that my personal(!) commission was 10% of the sales price... today dealers roughly have a 7% margin on the whole thing...

the point was: when you wanted a Mac, you had to buy one - there was no alternative
you paid a little more, but you definetely knew that it would save you from the 'regular' PC bs - and it really was bullsh*t in the pre-98 days
at the end of the day the machine had paid for itself

today the Mac is an Intel box with a boring old OS
everything is covered in fancy color schemes, but honestly... sometimes it strangely reminds on an overdressed and bitched up old lady
effectively Apple sells by (life)style reputation and superior design
they sell a lot today and are back in super-market, but what's the balance then ?
in particular for those folks selling and supporting the stuff ?

I really don't get all the whining - you have to adress your market properly, that's all there is about.
There is no mission to save the world by flooding it with 19" boxes

yes. and that was very expensive, as I was told...
they'll have to sell some units first before starting a print ad campaign to a similar extent.
