Finally: Alter History EP out now :-)

Post by katano »

Hi all

We recently released our first EP. It's called "In Defiance Of Science". So have a listen if you like to. Or even order one :-)

We made into the playlist of the big national radio station DRS3 here in Switzerland, yay :D

Image

http://www.alterhistory.com
http://www.myspace.com/alterhistory (poor sound quality, as usual)
http://www.mx3.ch/artist/alter_history (a bit better sound quality)

I'm the singer in the band and we did all the recording, mixing, mastering by ourselves.
So it's all done within Scope, except the tracking was done in Cubase. Ah, please don't blame me for the bad English ;-)

Enjoy and Cheers

Thanks brotha' man Jimmy :-)

I actually can't hear it anymore, played and listened to it so many times :-)

Were are now working on new stuff, leaving the old ones behind us. But that's just the way to go, isn't it?

Cheers

Agreed. It's easy to become stale or overmix something, as your ears become too familiar. Everyday when I wake up I play something I never played for the first half hour or so, just to trick my finger / eye subconcious, and force my ears to listen while playing.

Keep us posted of your sucesses.

well, success story is not that long, because we can't play live at the moment, one of the students left us for 2 months, travelling... this is what i call bad timing... however, switzerland has almost no music industrie, so i interpret it as quit good :-)

so here's the success list:
- playing on swiss national radio drs3
- playing on local radio KanalK
- playing on regional radio24
- playing on regional Radio Grischa
- DRS3 mx3 band of the week
- KanalK Swiss band of the week

Cheers

Excellent News, Congradulations.

Whenever I am called for a gig, and can't make it, I say that I am booked. Even though I might be booked doing other type of work or just vacationing, the words suggest you are in demand. This causes the interested party to want you even more.

From watching Politicains testifying under Oathe before Congressional Commitees, I have learned how to bend words and phrases to my advantage. Sadly, it works everytime.

The ends always justify the means IMHO.

I wish you luck as I am more than aware of the sacrifices you face.

Many of my buddies fund their studio's by selling their CD's at their gig.
Many also fund the expansion of the casinos at their gig too.
Usually after one month of gigging live anywhere from 100 to 200 Redbook CD's actually.
It's the perfect place to market yourselves.

Good Luck.
