Help me sort out my midi routing

Post by Kymeia »

I have several hardware synths and trying to route midi to all of them via Scope is getting a bit complicated. I currently use my pulsar midi dest a to send midi from my keyboard to a Yamaha VL70m ( I don't send it directly from the keyboard itself because it's used for many other things so I use Scope as a kind of sophisticated midi router and merger). Problem is I'm using advanced midi switcher and if I switch to the pulsar midi dest out put I lose the sequencer midi dest which feeds midi into my sequencer so I can't play the VL and record midi off it at the same time. I've tried merging both midi signals but then I get error messages in the VL and it makes weird sounds if I try to send program change messages to the VL or playback recording though recording itself is working at least this way. The best I can do at the moment is merge them together to record but when switching programs or playing back I have to disconnect the sequencer midi dest which is a bit of a kludge.

It's OK I realised where I had the loop - I was reusing a project with some complex midi mergers etc and hadn't noticed I'd merged in another sequencer midi source at one point - I've removed that and it's working fine thanks. Should have started from scratch
