very interesting. I'm working on a recording project in Tokyo, from NY, and we were just talking about something like this. BTW, reaper also has something like this built in. It's called Ninjam, but I haven't tested it yet.

oh, brain beat me to it. lol. have you tried it brain? I'm really curious how it performs in real life.

Now the only thing we have to overcome is time zones. lol. I've given it a lot of thought, but alas, I don't think there's any clever way around it. Time has such a strong wrath!

I know people who have been using ninjam for years to play live ambient music together over the internet and it works but this inclusion of Reaper makes it much better. I want to get back to them and see if I can sit in on a session now.

I'm not sure if it's a high enough bitrate for a recording session. The radio station plays at 196 kbps so for them high fidelity doesn't matter.

I should gonna try, once the threat issue will be solved by my ISP (I'll gonna call them cause the warning still follow to flash on my screen, rather it flashed just now).
What's your advice about a Linux distro to install?

How does this kind of things works? How can people on different continents can play together on the same tempo line? How the propagation delay issue is solved?

The Reaper cost for non-commerical use is so affordable but the commercial license is not. Still I am tempted. I wish that Ninjam would work with Cubase the same way as Reaper.

people like running it with WINE+asio tho. For me, it worked half way, and with strangely high CPU hit.
