I can do it as follwed:
Midi controler out > pulse in > pulse out > pulsar1 in > sequencer source > ( logic), now i can record the midi data ( note + controllers ), but cannot play it back to te pulse.
Midi controler out > pulsar1 in > sequencer source > ( logic ) > sequencer dest > pulsar1 out > pulse in, now i can record the note data, but no controller data. In this setup its posseble playback the notes to the pulse....
Next step would be if i could record and playback note & controller data, but how???
I've tryed it with the thru but no go...
( Midi controller > pulse thru, pulse out to pulsar1 in > etc. and pulsar out > pulse in.
Now logic recieves controller data but no note... AAAAAARGGGGGGGGGGGGGG..
I don't get it.....

Q: about connecting A waldorf pulse to my pulsar 1
Yes setup 2 works, but i still cannot record the knop movements ( conrtoller data ) that the pulse sents out. And i would love to rec. reallife knop madness....
So what sould i do, could the midi thru input of the pulsar be a part of the sollution or is it A useless piece or plastic hanging from me pulsar...???

The answer to your problem is: a midi merger!
This is how I do it with my Nord Rack:
Controller keyboard midi out AND Nord midi out into Philip Rees 2 -> 1 midi merger...
midi merger out to Pulsar midi in
Pulsar midi out to Nord midi in
This is with default sequencer+Pulsar settings in the project.
So now you get both the notes from the keyboard and the knob movements from the synth directly into Pulsar, and because in the project Pulsar midi source goes back to Pulsar midi dest, the synth also receives the notes from the keyboard.

Thanks i'll see into that.
Q: so with the merger would i be able to daisychain a nother device in the same chain or would i then need a a midi splitter for the output of midi to each individual device ?
Or would i use the thru of the pulse to for example an Access Virus midi in and set its device nr. on 2 and midi on for example 2 to 16
( cos the pulse would be device no1 on midi channel 1.)
Thanks for the info and if you could enlighten me some more on the chaining subject i would apriciate it..

Ah well, I have to admit my knowledge of midi is as limited as yours in that respect. I've never used more than one outboard synth with pulsar so...
Also KimGr, which other midi interfaces would you recommend that don't cost an arm and a leg and still work properly (good timing)? Is it really something to consider even if you use very little outboard gear?
