Another little rough thingie, maybe to use as backdrop in someone's summer-slideshow..
I like the mood here... the overdriven Rhodes, the rhythm-section that almost looses it.
Two drummers and a percussionist..<..easy with the sauce, guys..!!..>
And not to forget the FX-guy over by the synth!
So analog, seventies goes 2008...or something..
***NOW UPDATED**
I´ve been busy, learning a lot of new stuff, as I added some guitar
to this track, and did a full mix with Reaper trough the STM2448 and set up Master Verb trough aux-return.
My most elaborate project so far in Scope! I mixed right down into Goldwave, and did a slight compression
and limiting.
So the new mix will be Americas Plains3, for anyone who wants to hear the difference
between a mix in an average application as Magix Music Maker, and a Scope-production !

Re: Zangsta Americas Plains
Lot's of great ideas sounds, and licks going on in there.
What app are you using to convert with? It is lossy, but very good sounding as the bass and highs are retained really well.
Nice job.

Hi Jimmy!
Glad you liked it !
This is a beta-version, made in Magix Music-Maker 12,
and exported as mp3, then some editing in Goldwave,
using Nebula3 free version VST to first compress some, using the "boeing 747 compressor", then simulate
pre-amp called 512 Park Avenue", then finally Waves L1-Ultramaximiser.
Nebula3 is one of the great VST-plugs around, as is Ozone3, and some of Waves stuff.
Now I sit here with all the tracks exported into Reaper, and have them patched into Scope,
to see what I can add with some guitar, or whatever seems to fit.
I can already hear how much better all sounds sounds this way, Music Maker is just a
great scratch pad...
Reaper and me are slowly getting to know each other, this version seems
very stable, and I have finally come to grips with how to set up the routing into Scope,
great things will come out of this, when I get inspired !

Re: Zangsta Americas Plains
Hmmmm...
Well, not so much inspiration, as transpiration!
But I got this urge to get into this system a bit more,
and this track was the vehicle.
The guitar was a lot of rubbish that I edited down to something useable..nothing more.
I can´t tune the crappy thing...an SX-$200-guitar.. amp included..
..what can be expected ??
But the learning-bit was great.
And the end-result is quite acceptable, I think.

Re: Zangsta - Americas Plains
Yes it is.
The guitar sounds fine. Lot's of ideas going on too.
Not bad for a white guy.
Just Kiddin'.
Keep me posted on how the conversion app is working for you. You seem to hav e a much better quality than I get. I am almost afraid to post anything until I get Cubase 4.1 up to spec.
The new patch from SC was added, and I omnly have to re do the connection paths, then I can get those nice drums going again.
Keep Up The Good Work.
