Hi everyone

Running Pulsar v3.01 on Pulsar II board. Pentium III 750, 256mb RAM etc etc

The system was running fine yesterday and i haven't chg'ed anything on my settings or installed anything!!

However, when i re started up my PC today (so that i could switch the rest of my studio on) to get working i had a DSP overload message come up without starting Pulsar. I followed the instructions and restarted the PC again.

This time no error message but when i went into the samplerate window i had no samplerate showing in the system box?

This meant that i got all of the normal error messages in cubase (5.1 r1) when i started that up.

Device - Creamware Play 1
Error code - ff8-5-000c(4)
"Device could not be opened"
&
Device - Creamware Rec 1
Error code FE8-D-0013
"Sorry communication with audio card has been lost. Pls reset devices, or restart cubase or windows" I have tried all three

Within cubase i also tried to select the ASIO scope but kept getting the above error messages.

Pls can someone help? I am sure that this is a simple problem and i just can't work it out!!! By the way the card is not sharing any IRQ's

peace K

Normally when no sample rate is showing in the box you just click the sample rate you want and it reinitialises. (On master clock)
If you are on a slave clock check your cables. (sorry if im stating the obvious)

If this doesn't help check that your pulsar card is properly seated in the slot, somethings cards have a tendancy to work loose.
Also not having the breakout cable connected properly somethimes gives me scary messages.
