spammers!

Post by John Cooper »

As you may have noticed, we're getting a dozen new spam-bots a day.

For quite awhile now, I've had a set of CAPTCHA, and question/answer bot-blockers in place and this week, they seem to have disappeared from the registration page. Not sure why...

I'll look into it today

Thanks John, I'm sure it will help to get rid of the spammers again when the question/answer bot-blockers are installed again. :)

Good luck,

cheers

ah, I already wondered why there were so many of them, all of a sudden, and why it had been so cozy and quiet before... :)

thanks for keeping it up, John.

working on it. this is now phpBB 3.0. the theming/style stuff is done a bit differently, and I couldn't get the usual planetz theme working very easily.

Hi Ken,
Try again now. I found another configuration setting in .htaccess that should override the php.ini
