m3 rock-ish chiptune
This one's not as ground breaking as the other ones. Meant to be an intro tune for the set, it's pleasantly upbeat, not over complicated, short and concise.

Whatcha' Doin' Up So Late?
Just got back in from the fireworks party, they spent 6.4 million on fireworks this year !
The town is packed with people, it's really sick.
I'll go listen to it now.

Yepp,.......Sho' Nuff.
That's way cool. That would be a great opener live. The bass and snare groove really cool.
You got tons of idea's when it comes to variations a theme, reall nice.
You'd be dangerous with FAT BASTARDS.
I'm gonna go do one now.

oh, the m3 thing means it's just the third song I wrote for the set. It's a naming scheme that I used to use in theater that just sort of stuck.

The only thing I would do is tune the bass drum down 3 semi-tones. That would give you a semblance of a pedal note.
I have to say that this a unique little project you gave yourself to compose this style of music with such limited capabilities

pedal tones one the kick eh, sounds interesting. I might try one with a higher pitched one on a later tune. I think pedal tones on a IV,V,VI create great buildups.
The project's been really interesting so far. It forces me to use a lot of harmonizing and theme variation to keep things interesting, but it also shows how limiting it can be.. in terms of creating varying ambiance. So much is timbre dependent, perhaps I've spoiled myself in that sense. It's a great brain work out!
