Hi,

I have a Pulsar 1 running Logic 5

I''ve done all the optimisations but I can't even record 1 track without
getting PCI overflow errors! (even in playback i get errors!)

I've done all the tweaks in the manual and still can't get it to work!
I"m running the latest version of pulsar and have tried all the other
versions too!

I have a:
- P3 866
- 256Mb ram
- motherboard is PC133 M754 - Socket 370, GFX PRO chip set
- Graphics card: (internal) nVIDIA aladdin tnt2 (IRQ:11, driver version:
4.12.01.0533)
- Soundcard (internal - disabled)
- Modem (internal (but uses top slot)- disabled)
- harddrive: 40gig (partitioned)

I have 3 slots...

Slot 1 is taken by modem - cannot remove because system crashes??
Slot2: Pulsar IRQ:11; (sharing with graphics card)
Slot 3: empty, but if i put pulsar here, it shares with the on board
ethernet and causes same problem anyway!

The computer doesn't crash while sharing the same IRQ nor are there any
conflicts, just the PCI overflow problem. I can't figure out how to change the IRQ settings either...

Is it my mother board that is the problem?

I've looked at some of the forums and people seem to suggest the ASUS
tusl2-c, but will this fix my problem??????

I'm really frustrated and all i want to do is record music!

thanks

the tuls2 is good.you obviously have some issues on your pc.to use a daw effectively, you must have a clean system w/ no noncrucial elements(ports modems etc.)it might be good to start fresh. that doesn't look like a good mobo there.......

do you know what sort of specs I should put together?

Does anyone know of company in Australia that makes DAWs for pulsar?

well, intel is generally regarded as best.

subhuman sells machines reasonably on infinite vortex. it's not hard to put together a good machine but it takes a bit of research.(and the generosity of those who have tried it ....)remember this is pretty "cutting edge"
