Missing Windows Classic Driver option in Wavelab?

Post by dynamixii »

I recently built a new machine and have come across a snag

In Wavelab I recall having more options in the recording preferences

Currently I only have the following listed in the preferences/recording pull down menu:

WME WDM Microsoft Sound Mapper
WME WDM Realtek HD Audio Input
WME WDM CreamWare Play/Rec 1
WME WDM CreamWare Play/Rec 2

Thats it?

I seem to remember there being a classic windows driver that used to be there but now I cant seem to find it.

Anyone have a bright idea besides dumping my beloved wavelab?

WaveLab on WDM and Live on ASIO....Isn't that what you are trying to do?

you'll have to adjust the preload and other settings in wavelab until you get good results. also, you can set wavelab's priority to "above normal" and Scope's to "below normal" in the processes tab of the task manager(cntrl-alt-del) to get better performance.
