My late 80s stomp flanger doesn't sound any longer that good.
I'm looking for advices to fix it, and also for tips about good brands for stomp vintage modulation FX for guitar.
stomp boxes
check the capacitors for physical change. if you are really gung ho you could test and replace them. the cost in your labor will likely outweigh the value of the pedal, but...
put a new battery in.....
all flangers are good. get a few.
some poular ones are the Electro Harmonix and Ross brands and don't forget old stand bys like Boss and Ibanez. there's a pretty cool old rack mount box called the Dyna Flange that's really neat....

PCB looks ok.
It's not a problem to desolder all the caps. I've become quite fast with this kind of things; but I still haven't bought a capacimeter.
Might just try to test their AC behaviour, but...yes it's busy.
The electrolyte from capacitors on boards from the 70s was kind of brown as far as I remember...

I've got an Ibanez Jetlyzer I plan on selling... I do know it's worth some bucks though
