Cubase export problem

Post by Tommyboyjedi »

Hi all :)

1st time posting here, so i hope im not covering old ground but hey

I have a Scope v4.0 and Cubase Studio 4. Its running off a machine that can handle it without any problems.

My problem is in exporting tracks from cubase. I get the feeling im a complete fool and im simply missing a setup somewhere but i have been trying to fix this issue for 6 months now and simply cannot get anywhere.

So i create a project in cubase, do the business of recording e.t.c and i would like to be able to export the project as a whole, or track by track, but no matter what i do all i get is the edrummer track in audio, none of the other audio.

Im sure im gunna feel like a total fool when i figure it out but atm i cant and i am beyond frustration with the whole affair..

any of you had a similar problem?

Never had such a problem, also because I mix in Scope and re-record the mixdown in Cubase, but anyway, in the export dialog (I have SX3) you have to chose the output tfor your export which will be the bus where the Cubase mix is, usually bus1 and it must be the bus where al the audio tracks and vsti's are directed.. For me it doesn't work because I have separated busses.

Anyway i don't have Cubase 4, so i'm just reporting what ihappens in SX3.

You can't use export when using Scope plugs. You have to bounce your track to stereo in real time. just record the mix to a stereo track.

Here is a thread where 19thbear explains more...

Just to spend some more words on this.

You have to export in REAL TIME as said before. To do so, you have to click a related button in the export dialoge of cubase and then everything should work perfectly well and you can use Scope plug-ins for export without the need of bouncing.

Thx for the responses peeps, much appreciated.

I have been exporting in real time, so i dont think thats the issue. I havnt tried bouncing it down onto a track in cubase actually so ill give that a shot, and if i am un sucessfull i shall return with the requested screenshots and as much info as i can

thx again :)
