xtc mode and soniccore

Post by the19thbear »

hi.. i emailed ralf:
Hi. I use scope every single day in my studio. Thanks for supporting this platform. And thanks for building a great platform! i'm looking forward to scope 5!

I have a question about the future Soniccore hardware/software: Are you planning to expand the XTC possiblities? or will you not develope it, but support it? or will you leave xtc mode completely with scope 5.0/Xite, in the future?
thanks alot!
and he answered:
Hello,

for this time we ported the scope XTC-mode to the Scope Platform 5.0.
I think, it should work well, because me made some changes at the ASIO drivers.

All the best and thanks a lot for your kind words.

cheers
ralf
He didnt completely answer my questions, but its still good news!

Good news indeed. although I never used or tried XTC mode myself. Great to hear that the ASIO drivers are changed/updated. Does this mean that the ASIO issues between Scope/SCP5 and the future Cubase releases are solved?

They might have fixed ASIO Direct Monitoring.

maybe they can split the available DSP power into two segements, one for XTC and one for SFP v5 in the future. So people can use both modes simultaniously.

Not that I would need this feature.
But many asked for it.

Personally I wish to see more high quality synths and fx devices as next developement. (maybe they can use again their analog circuit modelling technique)

I agree with this one - more EQ's and Comps.
