Problem syncing Paris DAW to Cubase SX3 Daw via Scope

Post by Mani »

Hi, I'm trying to sync 2 DAWs using scope 4 with a syncplate. Here is the setup:
(Computer 1 master)Paris Adat sync out via 9pin serial cable into (Computer2 slave )Scope syncplate 9pin Serial running Cubase SX3. In Cubase, I am using the ASIO Audio device setting, sample rate is set the same in Paris, Cubase and Scope. When I press play in Paris, scope See's the time code and sends it to Cubase which starts to roll but after 3 seconds, the cursor slows down then speeds up and then gradually stabilises around 15 seconds later. Is this normal for a scope card using ADAT sync? I setup an external midi click in Cubase and recorded the output (included mp3). Have tried many diff samplerates, diff 9pin cable, tried using midioverlan between the boxs and then using MTC to sync and Cubase works perfectly, no wobble in the playback what so ever. Is anyone else slaving Cubase to another Daw using Scope ADAT sync and have you ever had this issue? Could this be a scope driver or installation issue?

Thanks so much in advance, I've been pulling my hair out for two weeks now...!!

the 9 pin is for ADAT machines only, afaik.

for DIGITAL sync, use the bnc connectors.

for syncing the sequencer playback, use midi clock or MTC.
