going on vacation, need tips

Post by next to nothing »

ok, case is as follows:

im in need of a vacation, and would like some input for consideration.

As im in for some nice salary and tax return, i plan to have a 2-3 weeks trip to relax and enjoy the view (or 'fine trim' as some would put it). So i would like some input from you guys, do you have anything to recomend from your own experience? Ive been thinking Cuba or Brazil (and a lot more, but i dont want to put words into your mouths :) ), and ofcourse there are a lot of Asian places like the islands of Thailand id like to see.

Personal things to consider:

- Budget is pretty high (lets put it somewhere right beneath 2 Xite-1's)
- Im a single guy around 30
- Dollars are cheap as hell these days
- Culture vs. Party vs Beach factor: around 30/30/40

So, sparse information, but anyone have any tips?

piddi.

hehe, edited factors :)

well ive been thinking of Miami as a nice place to start from, heading out to some carribian island. Im not ruling out Europe either, but my idea is that i'd like to go a bit further when i first have the chance (read: before i spend the cash on something "decent"), Ibiza will allways be available, and for a smaller budget as well :)

oh, and i probably will be Amsterdamned by mid-june sometime as well, so thats my europe for this year :)

White Widow here i come!

Australia, for sure :D

Jamaica is cool - once the locals work out you're a penniless musician - but you ain't penniless, so you'd have to be careful. I got around with my pockets turned inside-out, had a great time :)

and on that matter, it might be Ghana.
I have a friend over there who came to norway, got screwed over by our legal system and have setup a family house / pool / more of a pro studio setup than iever had, doinf Ghanesian pop! It WOULD be awesome, ill see if i can manage (its not eactly Accara, i wonder what Google Earth can do for me!)

Beach Factor Is High. :D

You definately should see Coral Gables and South Beach.

I noticed you mentioned no date. This is important when travelling to Florida.

The students from all of the " All Girl Colleges ", like Bauder Fashion College, and the incredible Vitale Photographic, as well as University Of Miami, etc. Will be prancing up and down the beaches during Rush week, usually the 3rd week of August.

If you prefer older girls, and maybe wealthy Sea Hags, go to N.Miami Beach, or Coconut Grove.

I think you would like Rio too. It is the St. Tropez of the southern hemisphere.

I also envy you. Especially if you can still get an XITE-1 after your quest for travelling abroad.

I have been told by many friends who still tour, that Austrailia's beaches are like the beaches in Southern California were during the '60's. Very little commercialism, and packed w/ fine trim.
