It was the classic beta vs. vhs battle all over again.
beta is better (or is it betta), and vhs is crap, but look who the porn industry picked up.
IMO all the blue-rays, HD's, etc. will go away when downloading picks up.

Yeah, hence the reason why blu-ray, or whatever, will probably only go through about a 5-year lifecycle before something else comes along - like some breakthrough in compressio that allows for faster download of full-length, HD, surround sound movies (or Internet 2 - whichever comes first).stardust wrote:ok why not.
