General scope tip
Preset can be remote controlled with preset changes under some conditions.
- preset list must be midi (user can't change this)
- the bank must be indexed
- the presets inside the bank must be indexed
- To 'index" a bank and presets, right click on the "-1" number and choose autoindex. This gives a preset number to the presets.
- The bank index is not relevant, but must exist.
- For multiple preset files, leave the controlled list open.
Now it should work, as long as the device/preset list is midified.
automating midi map changes?
I've got good news: fra77x's global project preset seems to be the life-saver for me! I reloaded the 2448 mixer, -the only one which reacts to CC0 signals (though eratically)- and tried this gem of a device and it seems to do the job wonderfully! Yahoo!!! I can now move on with programming my concert, I feel relieved somewhat, because this project means a lot to me.
Thanks Jimmy for pointing the device to me, your help is precious brother, very appreciated!
The preset mistery isn't solved, but I'll take my mind off of it with pleasure!
I'll probably be back with more questions before long, til then, be ye all at peace.

ahahah! you're unbeatable bro!
Yeah each song is presently being customized with care and haste, I'll have many late nights of happy scoping. It will be a great show! Having all my devices automatically loaded, my reverb settings changed to fit the mood of the songs and so on gives me much joy!
One more question: how do you assign more than 1 knob to be controlled by 1 controller? Seems simple but I don't know how...
And Jimmy, do you have some experience with midi bass pedals? It will be one of my next acquisitions. Any insight is welcome.

CC5 or CC8 made by none other than SpaceF.
As long as your speaking about 2 virtual knobs and one hardware knob. Actually you can control up to 8 on the CC8 device.
I use to do multiple virtual drawbars on the B2003 using CC5.
I got the ASB for that now.

Roland has a set but you must see if their length suits you. I was trained old school and actually pushed bass w/ my feet. The trick to do the " walking Bass " kind of stuff was to keep your knees together. But length might be a factor, and actual physical auditioning of the unit.
I really want to see this once you get it going.
Feet, Hands and Mouth all at once.....................excellent.
If you wiggle around on your bench, you could actually stick a joystick up your ass for vector synthesis......................sorry, I know I am foul.
Good Luck Again.

yeah... we'll see about that joystick idea...
The bass pedals are a totally awesome addition to my arsenal, and I have to play them with my left foot while my right foot deals with the damper and expression pedals. I don't do complicated bass lines mind you, I mainly play the roots with a few transitional notes in between. I'm learning... Things will become more developed with time, but I am very proud of the result so far, it sounds full and wide, especially with the lush string pads which I use in some choruses... You know, I have played drums for 15 years before I found my true artistic calling, in which drums have no place, so I've been playing with my feet for a long time. Bass pedals are very different, but still...
I'll try to film some live footage of my show asap and share it with the people...
Ok, so spacef makes that device. Would you happen to know if I can do it in modular?

That's good news, I must do something wrong... But... I don't see what... The mixer midi channel is set to omni, the midi monitor sees my prg change messages come through, but the mixer won't budge... I can assign knobs controls from my master keyboard and control thye mixer... I tried with the shroom's patch change dispatcher, alas, nada, the mixer doesn't respond...
I need help here...
On the FP mixers there are only 3 preset list which are midi controllable. Mutes, Load State and Aux fx (it's written somwhere on my site). Only in the C version of the 106 the main list can be changed. . The C is not out it is the update for FP106B.
The CC presets of inserts are managed in the inserts themselves (like usual in most devices i know, it can't be stored in a host preset list): that's how you can re-assign the same physical midi controllers/numbers to the same parameters of the same fx in different channels in the 104/106B and 106C (because assigning a CC will de-assign it if it is assigned somewhere else). The other method for CCs on inserts is project based: permanent assignments of different numbers to several inserts, (ie, permanent assignments in a project, that will reload when project is reloaded), but this does not allow remapping on the fly (or only be loading projects).
There are several reasons why it is like that, like speed in the preset changes for example.
