Zangsta; "Ghostly"..a remake

Post by zangsta »

This is an updated version of a track I made a year ago.
This is not a "song" in the traditional sense, it´s a soundscape, with a beat.

One of my all-time favorite albums is "Remain in Light" by Talking Heads,
and this track is based on the impact that album had on me. I keep coming back to this simplistic, hypnotic mood, it´s seductive !

In a final version, some kind of vocals would be great. And some guitar, perhaps. I consider this a beta-version.

I really like this. Real musicians are always a benefit if you can find a good ones without egos. I feel there are things you can do to add life to the percussion the way it is. Definitely the reggae dub idea of breaking it down while adding severe delay with the feedback turned up all the way then down on the drums would add interest while keeping with the original trippy feel of this piece. If you would also just add a few variations in the percussion here and there, it would add plenty of interest without having to hire another musician.

Thanks, Brain ! I think you are quite right, there´s a bit of stuff to do with this one before a final mix. Good suggestions ! !
