I just added a third pulsar 1 card to my system which previously had 2 pulsar 1 cards for a total of 3. After adding the card, the 24/48 main outputs still works but none of the auxes or busses work.
Do I need to reinstall?
could a problem with the ribbon patch cable cause this problem?

no, the s/tdm cable wouldn't have caused this.
i'm not sure why this is happening on your computer, just adding the card shouldn't do that. you can try the shotgun approach to problem solution, run the installer again. just install over the top of the old install(don't uninstall first). this should fix any corrupted files without destroying your personal preferences and device folder and presets...(although backing up the scope folder before you do this is a good idea even though it's not absolutely necessary)
