It doesn't really matter... you open the analogue source, and that means L and R. Just connect your mono synth to one of the analog ins and connect in SFP the appropriate source output to a mono channel in your mixer or recording environment. There is no mono to stereo conversion. The other input stays available for another mono source. You can 'convert' to stereo in SFP by simply connecting the source output (L or R) twice to your L/R mixer channel.

the luna analog in (and out) is unbalanced TRS stereo, so the analog source in the routing window will have L and R, of course.
you should, thus, hear your synth on one of both channels only.

oh the anolog in is stereo, i didnt figure that because usually a analog stereo input has 2 inputs(L andR) and the luna2 has only one. so on the project page should i connect both L and R to a stereo channel on the mixer, or only one(L or R) to a mono channel on the mixer?

depends what you plan to do with the signal
if it was something like a bass sound, I'd use a mono channel
to add reverbs and pan modulation fx I'd rather connect the single input to both left and right of a stereo channel

cheers, Tom

cool thanks guys but now i ran into a new problem when i tryed recording in cubase:( everything looks and sounds good, but when i record a midi track and add some sort of modulation such as frequency or messing with the pitch i dont hear it on playback; i hear the notes and sound but not any modulation on playback. Im using this synth as my midi keyboard as well and ive got my routing window setup like so:
ive got my midi source connected to sequencer midi det., sequencer midi source to midi destination, and Lout analog source to 2L ASIO2 Dest.

haven't used cubase in years, but I remember that you need to activate automation recording (red/green button?)... someone else will probably know exactly what to do to record automation.
your routing seems fine...
