lost audio at 48k

Post by ThingsGoBoom »

Anyone any idea why i can't play back audio at 48k...
Scope is set to 48k samplerate with Wavelab playing a 48k track... the strange thing is that it does play, the meters are going, but no audio output. If I switch to 44.1k and play a 44.1k file there's nothing wrong...

I've worked on a 48k project the last days and nothing was wrong, just suddenly it stopped...?

Thanks but tried it, Finally it worked again after many restarts of both Scope and Wavelab... don't know what it was.

it might happen when you switch while wavelab is actively using the driver.

No, I know that doesn't work unless you have "release ASIO driver in background" ticked. I started Scope, switched to 48k, then started Wavelab and played the audio file, it did play, meters were going, but no sound. This DID work in 44.1. After about 5 times it would finally work... strange...

addendum to my last post: at this moment i do not have a samplerate at all!
In samplerate setting it does not connect to any samplerate. Have checked connections, restart computer, it doesn't matter. And no, there's no host application running, only Scope. Anyone had this before? My system worked flawlessly for years and nothing has been changed recently.

Have you tried re-seating the card in the PCI slot - maybe the contacts are a bit loose or even a bit dirty?

Thanks guys, after a thorough cleaning and unscrewing the card, it finally works again.
