So did you pay the $10,000 to get access to all of the answers?
lol
The spacemirror mystery
anyone interested in saving money and universology should get immediately the excellent series The universe (season 2) (showing on History channel ("H")
http://www.history.com/minisites/universe
There you will find the absolute latest information and discoveries that bring the horizon of understanding the true nature of the universe even further.
It is better that you are interested in the subject or you will miss approxiately 90% of what is explained (for the masses anyway, but if you have culture in stuff like black matter and relativity, you get much more from it).
it explains well the doepler effect and phase shifting and how light travels, so you could get refund of your "space mirror" theory.
well, just to save you the dollars and provide some "real" interesting material
and it will help the producers to make a few extra episode for when i do get the dvd...

Light has a short wavelenght. The common practical use of the phase shift of (laser-) light is used in inertial navigation systems, essential in space flight and widely used in aviation.BingoTheClowno wrote:The Doppler frequency shift effect was known for decades. I don't know what you mean by light phase, maybe you mean light's frequency?
At greater speeds/distances, in analogy to sound, the doppler effect with light influences the frequency.
In addition to the series mentioned by spacef, which is a bit superficial though entertaining to my taste, here's 2 items I found very well made:
- NASA's Beyond Einstein: From the Big Bang to Black Holes
- The Elegant Universe by PBS/NOVA goes a little further, with a nice overview of the evolutiuon from the ancient civilisations' view on the universe till the most recent string- or M-theory with its 11 dimensions.
Looking forward to get more and better insights,

Well, the Doppler effect shifts the frequency of a signal not its phase. The classic example is the moving train sounding its horn. As the train passes an observer the horn changes its pitch or frequency, the horn's sound frequency appears to decrease.
Similarly, stars emit light with the wavelength between 400-750nm (that is actually the distance between the peaks of the waves) with frequencies between 700 and 400 TeraHerz.

Stars moving away from us (Earth) are appearing to us redish, which means that their visible light frequency is decreased while their wavelength (which is inversely proportional to frequency, frequency= speed of light/lambda) is increased and shifted into the red section.

it is very difficult, nowadays, to find such an amount of CRAP alltogether!!stardust wrote:http://www.spacemirrormystery.com/default.html
