Lexicon PCM91 / LimFat / AUX Delay

Post by dawman »

Here's a remix of a jazz/funk tune using SpaceF's LimFat.

Sweet little device w/ a big round sound.

The pair of EQ / Filters on the oputs is great for final tweaks also.

This one sounds very good too, in a different way!
I listened to the previous mix again, for a direct comparison,
and I think this set suites the pianosolo very well, and the other, aux_delayed,
suites the synth-part, and intro.
All a matter of taste, and artistic vision, I guess.

All in all, great work !!

That was an accident that worked out O.K.

I recorded w/ the delay on, and kinda laid back to hear the tails.

When I remastered it w/ the Compressor, it made the groove more apparent, and the 91 made this happen.

Glad you like it, Thanks.

sounds great! both tracks are a little bright, though. beware! all those years on the stage erode hf hearing and then you start to think everything sounds dull.....

It's the headphones probably,

One thing is certain, I need some good nearfields.

When I played the tracks back through my live rig the bass was hot, and the mix was brighter than it should be.

Stardust was correct actually about the false images from mixing on phones.

I tried the 660 from DAS and that is a beautiful sounding comp.

As long as you guys keep critiqueing, and I keep trying, it can only get better.

Thanks.
