Upgrading Planet Z

Post by Neil B »

Thinking of the future I suppose we'll need a new forum for XITE

We probably need a forum for JLS modules (Oh we already seem to have one)

And now after what seems like decades of waiting, we'll need a new forum just for Jimmy V's uploaded tracks

Okay I was feeling flippant
Anyone want to add to this list?

Let's see... ASB/Klangbox got an average of 5 posts per month over the past 3 years. Where are these hoards of people? I guess they are just too busy with their toys to come here.

well, last time i cheked there was a lot of scope/pulsar users here, which are more comparable, xite being a soundcard/software solution while klangbox/asb was a pretty different segment, or am i wrong?

The number of unique users who post to the XITE-1 section of the Planetz forum will reflect the total number of people who buy this device. I'm looking forward to seeing it. It is not at all clear since SC has released so little information on this device if it is possible to load any module into it. They probably have to be specially coded as in the ASB, in which case it is not entirely what we are guessing it will be.

It does say:

"Compatible to the SCOPE Fusion Platform "

That should read:

"Compatible with the SCOPE Fusion Platform.

still don't see how it is relevant to upgrading planet z though.

lets leave it with that.

Why? We've managed without a social life for the last few years haven't we?

:D

We'll probably need a forum where us poor folks with only 6 DSP's can shed a tear together because we can't load any of the new devices and everyone is only developing for mega sized synths etc on Xite.

Can't you just imagine how tall & wide some of the modular synths will be on screen?

On a serious note though, I feel that once Scope 5 is out and Xite is out, us 6 DSP folks will become like DOS users as opposed to Win XP users. There is every danger that those who don't buy Xite will be left behind. Scope 5 will probably be the "last" version and we either stay there and get left behind or be forced to spend our hard earned cash (or take a loan out) on Xite.

All you Xited folks remember us when you have upload your new 385 DSP synths.

Speaking of upgrading the forums,

I just noticed that the user agreement needs amending.

It says that this forum is in no way connected to or affiliated with creamware, however, I think this should now be changed to reflect the non relationship with SonicCore

Thats all, thank you
