Let us pray these features make it to the hardware version.
If not, Solaris SW version 5.0 w/ it's unlimited RAM access for Sample Oscillators, and authentic analog performance features, will be a must.
I have matched my favorite preset from my Oberheim XPander, and this preset is one of many that makes Solaris the best choice for analog synth emulation for DSP, or VST.
Many others are O.K., but the recipe is in the details.
SOLARIS POLY-GLIDE
BTW,
I used SpaceF's FP106B w/ " ZERO " effects.
This preset's modulations are so rich it negates the need for those falsey FX. This beast needs no chorus, flanger, or phaser.
However using an expression pedal attached to the Frequency of the Formant Filters offers some seriously new sounding textures.
No PCM91 either, just the meat & potatoes.
If one detects a slight delay, it is only one of the many LFO's provided that is attached to the envelopes release that is barely noticable unless the tail is played.
But this is an example of the authenticity that can be achieved for analog performance styles.

Yeah,
John really poured on the features this time 'round.
A simple 4 voice SAW Down / Up combo w/ Poly Glide and zero global portamento.
It is actually easier to use and adjust than the Oberheims are.
This feature takes even the simplest wimpy Sine and Triangle waves and makes 'em FAT.
Thanks BroSco......Lover Of Tarkus.

Thanks Brosky,
Silly melodies in my head which only are used to display a unsion sound, a duo unison ( ARP Odyssey ), and a full blown 4 voice Oberheim.
I wasn't trying to post a tune, just wanted every little detail of the synth to be heard w/o any effects or drums, etc.
I am doing a real FAT tune though using nothin' but FAT drums, synths, basses, and even a synth guitar from SpaceF.
An all scope synth production.
The sounds are quite large, and are intended to represent the powerful Scope platform we worship so much.
As far as melodies go, Can't We Still Be Friends ( Patti LaBelle ), School 's Out For Summer ( Alice Cooper ), and an original instrumental chorus from a song of mine. I think that's what I was whistling when I did this, since I can't sing to save my life, I whistle and Hum.
