Midi sticking on same note
Midi sticking on same note
This is getting annoying. It seems to be happening more frequently - I can be playing a plugin and suddenly every note played is the same one. It's not my keyboard as it even happens with the little virtual Scope keyboard (I tested it with this to eliminate that possibility). Restarting Scope cures it but only for a while. Sometimes if I go to mono and then back to polyphonic mode that can also resolve it but only temporarily.

yes happens with me all the time....... after a night or so of letting scope run.... I bet you that if this is happening, and you try to assign a new midi cc (using the learn feature) scope will freeze.
Something causes midi to fall over, I have yet to find out what it is. I notice I have to reload the synths. Change voices or preset has no effect.

i've seen somewhere that some keyboards send velocity=0 instead of note-off (m-audio apparently).
Other than that, the only cause it can happen is a wrong retrigerring of a synth, for example , the midi loop goes back to start of the loop, before end of note (so a new note starts but previous ones didn't receive a note off). this is likely to be the case when using more then 1 voice.
I am doing a plug and I notice that this fault happens, but not at all on scope's fault, but because of the plug (for the moment it has a wrong management of midi off, so it happens to me all the time). What cures this is a shorter release on the synth VCA.
Other than that, i don't see (these are really the only reasons it can happen to me, and generally it doesn't).
If you leave a sequencer loop running all night/day long then may be it can be many things such as some computer device switch off (disk, graphics, pci, ...) and causing a bug that influences midi. Also may be an internal problem of the sequencer midi after long hours playing the same thing in loop.
