Hello again.
On the same topic I should point something out.
Up until a short time ago I was able to monitor the
audio from my Karma while in record mode in Logic
without recording Karma audio on the armed track.
I need to know how to route audio so that I can record
an audio track without recording existing audio from the
Karma. I hope this makes sense.
Thanks,

Pulsar II and Logic 5.5 recording issues continue
this is how i do it....
monitor a mixer in the scope environment. all audio signals from every source inside and outside the computer, sequencers, apps, external synths, mics, cds, vinyl or whatever, as long as it's audio should go throught the mixer. monitor the mix or control room out(depending on your favorite mixer) and you'll hear EVERYTHING in real time. don't monitor through the sequencer, ever.
to record in the sequencer, just send the direct out on the mixer's channel that needs to be recorded(or use a record bus if you like and are using the stm2448 or 4896 mixers) to an asio destination channel. choose the appropriate asio channel in the sequencer and you're done. this works on ALL sequencers and sound sources.
the important thing is to think of audio as audio even if it's inside the computer. connecting up in scope follows the exact same rules as in real life(out goes to in, never ro out and in comes from out, never in. you can't connect midi to an audio jack, etc the signal always flows in a direction). it's all jacks and cables. Scope is virtual reality. the routing window is the room you're in, the hardware i/o modules connect the real world room to the virtual room, the software i/o modules are your audio apps' jacks. think of Logic as a stand-alone tape deck and the asio source and dest modules are the output and input jacks accordingly(yes, the sequncer midi modules are the midi jacks for the tape deck).
