Hoi,

In the Effects > Others folder, you'll find External Source, External Dest, and External (Master) Effect. Once loaded, you can name these and link their ports to any ASIO or hardware (ADAT, analog, S/P-DIF etc) connections.

Name the device of choice, connect the ports, save the device. I have current devices/connections stored in my Scope effects folder. When you change the port of a device next year or so, just load the saved External Effect, select new ports, and re-save. That way, the routing in your Project Window is always up-to-date :)

Hope this helps,

at0m.

I'm unable to give out projects now. Also, not one Scope user has the same setup as another one. Exchanging projects is not so simple. I can try to explain it a little bit better, hoping youe Scope wisdom will grow ;)

Make a new project. Delete everything inside. Now load the following, I thrust you finding the devices:
  • ASIO2 24bit Source, ASIO2 Dest, then right-click the ASIO source in the project and select 8 inputs, see below.
  • the hardware ports to which you have the hardware effects connected, MIDI and Analog, ADAT, S/P-DIF etcetera.
  • Seq MIDI Dest and Sources, for a total as setup up in Scope's WinXP driver properties - this defaults to 2.
  • Wave Source and Dest 24bit, also for a total as setup up in Scope's WinXP driver properties - this defaults to 2.
  • one 2448 Mixer.
Now your devices are loaded, connect them:
  • Set the 2448 channels Mono or Stereo, depending on what you want to send to them. Mono Voice or stereo synth?
  • For ASIO, Nuendo, let's set up 3 stereo sources and 2 mono sources. Connect them to the 2448 channels 1-3 for stereo and 4-5 for the 2 mono sources.
  • For the Lexicon, if it's connected to S/P-DIF, connect the S/P-DIF Source in the project to the Aux Return 1, and the S/P-DIF Dest to Aux Send 1. Connect the other hardware effects after this example.
  • Connect the 2448 Control Out to Analog Dest, or to another port, where you can hear it (amplifier, hardware mixer, monitors).
I'm sorry, I'm at work, and there's some urgent work to do. Will be continued...
