Mic'ing troubles w/ Mico Audient into Scope

Post by dawman »

This is a high quality mic pre, but are there any plugs or filters for Scope that act as De-Esser?

Any suggestions on capturing the elusive doppler effect of the rotating horn are welcome.

Thanks,

if you need a deesser on a high quality mic pre like that, you're overdriving something, most likely. digital signals should NOT be to the top of the meter. transients will always clip that way. if you are recording 24bit, you want the signal's average peaks to be about 3/4 of the way up the scale....
