This is very cool stuff, but the GP2X would be a better choice of platform (depending on how you look at it).

it is still interesting that korg officially released it, unlike LSDJ or other homebrew software.

Yeah absolutely, but it's definitely not something that'll take off mainstream for producers like some people would have you thinking. These handheld devices are toys, but powerfull ones. At the end of the day, the only way to harness that market with dsp hardware is to make something that people can plug into it & hope to maybe sell 10000 pieces (if you're lucky).
