Great news

Xite.1
V.5

all I have to suggest is to make the web site alittle more self explanitory for none s/c ers.

eg.
have pics of all the plugins and detailed info of every one so new comers get a real understanding of what they wil get with there new S/C product,

Yes we all know for eg. what the Optimaster is and how powerful it is but on the S/C site under products 14 dsp card there is only a list of what comes with the card but no pic no explination.
If new comers would realize what they were getting it would be stupid not to look at S/C products for their Studio Band etc.

So to make my point clearer I'm just trying to help by stating that for this new AMAZING S/C product XITE.1 I BeLeive S/C poeple should now foccus on a really good marketing strategy by first of all showing off this product with much discription and pics , explination of what it is and what it can do on there site.

We have to inform ignorant potential customers to get the S/C virus spread.

Sounddesigner wrote:Retail price About 2698,- EUR. That's the introductory price, i believe it will cost more later. Hopefully i can find it for $2698 USD here in America. Our dollar is weak and i'd hate to pay EURO.
all i can read is that it cost 2698€ excluding vat. on the english site
and on the german page it cost 3199€ inlcuding mwst. (which is some sort of vat we germans have to pay)
So no real introductory price. It simply seems there is one price only atm.

it's quite an investment, but the playcards are better this time.
Still the end of Protools? :-D

hmm. no Z-Link port means you cannot hook an A16U to it...
The A16 Ultra has an empty expansion slot... Who said XTDM connector over there? :D
it's not impossible. I already had that thought. just don't know whether S/X-TDM is designed to deliver just audio, like Z-Link does. if so, the A16U might me upgradeable, and the A16U-XLR not, because it's lacking the expansion slot. since I'm convinced all those new hardware was designed together I somehow doubt that the A16U and it's XLR variant were meant to run with the XITE platform via the proprietary Z-Link connector. adat is, of course, still an option.

Great news Soniccore!!!

So I guess the new hardware will load old projects but can we really expect old cards to load new devices fit for Tiger Sharcs? Well I'm keeping my old cards for sure but my ibook g4 has just been made redundant

Definitly keeping the old cards! Perhaps buy a few used when the prices start dropping :P

Could dedicated 45DSP for Reverbs & Echo's or something :P
I guess it depends on what these new things can really handle.

I liked the idea of having a new place on Z to discuss this. So we can figure out together what setups we will be creating in the future :)
