Can anyone recommend a good analogue phaser?

Post by Refrochia »

When I first starting making music, phasers were one of my favourite effects. Was just thinking that I hardly ever use them these days so thought about getting a nice analogue one (maybe a pedal maybe not).

Just wondering If my fellow zedders can make any recommendations?
There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. These are things we don't know we don't know.

If you go pedal i would definitely get an MXR Phase100. Gary Numan used them extensively on his The Pleasure Principle album (it forms the intro for Cars and was always all over the Polymoog Vox Humana sound).

Agreed.

MXR100 is a great piece of kit.

If you are into 12 stage phasing and are looking for something deeper, check out the Moog Pedal.

It sounds great also.

But the MXR100 is definately the Meat & Potatoes.

I love the electro-harmonix smallstone phaser.
To have an idea is the one used by Jean Michel Jarre in his old (and some new) records.
