I just discovered the "Arranger Editor". It is a little like Ableton Live. When playing the parts live, it does not record the changes though. Obviously you could record it into an audio track through Scope. It's probably better to play with the arranger parts live and when you know what you like, program them to play in the arranger editor on the left side which is easy to use. Once you have the arrangement the way you want, you can "flatten" it and it becomes a normal Cubase sequence tracks. I hope that makes sense. Essentially, it is a sequencer within a sequencer.
The "arranger" options used to be called "play order track" which confused me as the SX 4 printed manual is now wrong plus there are more options.
It took me an evening to figure this out and I will be using it a lot.
