hi everyone
i'm new to pulsar/scope world.. well. ..i've a problem using xtc mode.
i'm using logic5.0 and a focusrite saffire, i would like to use my pulsar only in xtc mode for his sytnhs and fxs.
but if i set my asio driver on focusrite and i try to load an xtc device i receive this allert message:
XTC plug not properly installed
how can i use xtc like standard vst plugins?
thanks emanuele
ps. if i set asio driver to ASIO SCOPE xtc mode works but not my focusrite saffire...
XTC MODE - NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED
thnks guyss
yes i've found other topics about this problem,
i've tryed to use jumpers on the hardware as indicated, and now the problem is changed, the xct seemd to be installed properly, but:
if i use xtc synth the notes are not played correclty adn some distortion occurs,,
while for xtc fx oplug there is more distortion
i will try to contact who has had my problem!

hi bpier,,
well i've tryed to solve this problem but no results, i've also emailed to creamware support but NO REPLY
the solution i've read just bypass that error message but then if you use vst you have distorted signal!
as soon as i find a solution i will post a topic with the full description of what i do

Hi,
If you have a kind of granular metallic sounding distortion, it is likely linked to PCI latency or if you use cubase, wrong value of latency in the vst information database (you might not have refreshed the vst data file when changing latency).
check how many masterverb you can run, to check your config.
cheers

hi md69
i'm using logic audio, and when i open an xtc plugin for synths i ve a bad sincronisation (it seems to be not exactly on the beat) and the out is a lightly distorted signal.
if i use a xtc fx it has much greater distortion
i've tryed to use my scope i/o and no one of these problems occurs.
have i to sincronize pulsar with the other hardwares? can u help me?
adn well,, back to bpier if your only problem is bypassing error message you can use a normal jumper on your pulsar hardware

i dont know the techncl term but you have to short the second pin with the third with a jumper (you can recicle it from an HD or in some old mother boards you re not using) i hope it make sense for you.. my english is really bad :S
now your xtc will be available in vst
anyway you can find some pics about this on the forum

Hi,
I don't have Logic, but really it sound like a problem with your latency and buffer size.
You should check which latency you set with your sapphire ASIO and add the corresponding intblksize instruction in the cset.ini. Then move the XTC folder where are your dll away from the scanning process from Logic launche Logic exit Logic and restore the XTC folder. Normally Logic should update its informations (if it is the same than Cubase)
(Check GonZoft thread for the intblksize setting)
cheers
