Plugiator dealers/distributors?
From their website:
We will be publishing our list of distributors by February 2008.
If you are a dealer or distributor and you are interested in working with us, please contact us for an appointment at NAMM. We look forward to hearing from you!
So I guess it depends on how well NAMM went for them...

I hope extremely well - although I know they are not a high profile concern... I am very enthusiastic about this... it's what Noah should have been, including price-wise...husker wrote: So I guess it depends on how well NAMM went for them...
I was actually hoping for a comment from Frank - best case scenario, a confirmation they are on track for Feb - knowing how development schedules normally are, that may not happen - If they are on track that would certainly make my day... I WILL get one as soon as it comes out...

How is Plugeater (sic) of any concern to Scope card owners? From my perspective they are direct (and possible hostile) competition with SonicCore and consequently a threat to our future, and they will offer no benefits to our existing systems.
It seems to me that promoting their business would conflict with our interest in SonicCore's well being.

"How is Plugeater (sic) of any concern to Scope card owners?"
- Its a cheap way of adding a minimax/proddesy/pro-12 etc to your scope setup without the need of buying more dsps.
"From my perspective they are direct (and possible hostile) competition with SonicCore and consequently a threat to our future..."
This was mainly a threat to Klangboxes, and my guess, the reason Klangbox was discontinued (i doubt the "plagiator" was a suprise to SC).
"...and they will offer no benefits to our existing systems.".
Yes they do. You can add your favourite SC synth with loads of voices to your setup without taxing DSP.

Well, i dont see how. It is not a scope system (ppl interested in this will need a card), and it has lousy controls for live tweakers (people interested in this will buy an ASB). but as a sonic addition to an existing scope system it looks good.
Now bring me a Klangbox to which you can:
- a) Connect an LCD screen of choice for operation, use without LCD (controlling from master keyboard) or hook up to laptop via software
- b) Switch between 5-6 Devices or/and Modular Patches (pre-built on a scope system ofcourse) including cwmodular/flexor /bowen/spacef etc. modules stored in flash memory, and you have a winner.

Probably is not - or maybe yes - depends on how you see it - It's one more way to get to the plugins (and they are the same that we know) other than Scope, ASB, Klangbox and Noahdbmac wrote:How is Plugeater (sic) of any concern to Scope card owners
Is this a SonicCore only forum?
I think this is correct. However this is a product that I personally always hoped for; I loved the idea of Noah but, it was just too expensive - that's the reason I am so enthusiastic about it... sorry if I come off as a shill for Use-Audio. I am not. But, like I mentioned in a previous post in the "pay for driver" thread, I left the Scope platform and economic concerns were a big factor... And this product addresses them perfectly... I am really looking forward to get back to the platform - to work again with the minimax and to get the prophet-12 and proddissey at a wonderful price is indeed a treat...dbmac wrote:From my perspective they are direct (and possible hostile) competition with SonicCore and consequently a threat to our future, and they will offer no benefits to our existing systems.
Of course - don't disagree... However, bringing competition to the table could only be a positive thing... Could the threat of competition from Use-Audio have been the catalyst for Scope 5.0?dbmac wrote:It seems to me that promoting their business would conflict with our interest in SonicCore's well being.
Maybe...

All this SonicCore vs. inDSP thing is a bit pointless. These are 2 companies that decided to share the Creamware legacy, each one is free to use it according to the owned rights. I don't think this is of any concern for the users. The real competition is in the future, as the 2 companies will produce different new things and each one will be the only owner of a product. Then we can decide "what" do we need and not "who" has to sell it.
It seems obvious that each one needs to make profits with the products they already have, the situation is not very common and some harshness is inevitable.
But I hope that with time they will have new stuff, no more shared, probably for different market segments.. At that point harshness will fade away.
I think that customers can only benefit of some competition.
