I own two 4DSP boards, one classic and one plus
I'm trying to reinstall the boards again on my working
system, but the installation program doesn't want to
load the keys from the skf file and I'm stuck at the
beginning.
The OS is WinXP, and it used to work fine.
The computer has been updated today with a new
mainboard. That's why I'm reinstalling everything.
The first part of the installation was fine. It loaded
the drivers and restarted. But when it wanted to load
the keys, I found the skf file on my system, and opened
it with the corresponding dialog from the setup program,
then the cursor showed itself as busy for a moment and
then back to normal, but nothing was loaded.
Can you help me, please?
Thanks in advance.
Juanjo.

try moving the scope.rgy file from scope/app/bin to the desktop. then run the installer. you can use the scope.rgy file as a keyfile, you can rename it allkeys.skf and rename allkeys.skf to scope.rgy, they are both text files.
if all else fails, you can move the entire scope folder to the desktop(for safekeeping), and then install normally. after the install, copy all your personal files(presets, devices, projects, the dsp and vxd folders) to the proper locations in the new install....or, copy the scope/app/bin folder to the old install and then trash the entire new scope folder and replace it with the new one.
well, a couple of convoluted suggestions, but it's all about keeping files organized.....

Thanks for your quick responses.
I just kept my project and preset files, otherwise, it's a fresh install.
I'm not overwriting an existing installation. C:\ has been formatted
and there's just the drivers in the system. The funny thing is that
both Pulsars appear on the device manager without any sign of
problems. I think it's more an installer issue, or something related
with the allkeys.skf file, something in the registry or who knows...
I go through the stages of the installer until it asks for the keys,
I select Scope Project M, browse, find allkeys.skf and proceed...
nothing happens
My previous post was a paste from the mail I sent to Sonic Core
last sunday, and I still have no response. I need this system
working, I got stuff to do...
