Hey guys at planetz,
first let me wish you all a happy new year!
Here's just another soundscape I "painted" recently. It was created around the text sample which I took from a rather old cd which I found again recently. The cd dates back to 1999 and features some multimedia stuff about Jan van Eyck's "Arnolfini Portrait" (painted 1434). If you are into art - you may find the portrait in the national galerie, london.
Hopefully you'll understand parts of the spoken words though they are distorted and sometimes blured with a flanged/phased-delay. The drums are also trimmed to low-fi with a bit-size and sample-rate downgrade. Hm, seems like my aesthetic setting is currently very low-fi. Anyway the text is just more like a shade - though a very importand - to the soundscape rather than transporting any real information.
Enjoy and feel free to drop me a note! I'm looking forward to getting some feedback from you!

Hey guys,
at least my girlfriend just gave me a positive feedback for my track. I'm a bit sorry that there's no feedback from planetz community. Ok, I have to admit, that I'm not giving feedback to tracks a lot myself. But hopefully my tracks are not annoying or a complete waste of time, are they?

Definitely a great composition, always worth to mention separately.
It all fits nicely and tastfull together, even if it doesn't appeal so much to me, which is a matter of taste (I'm talking about the chord sequece in particular, but that's me).
About the voice part:
First, there's distortion on some parts, could be a late night error or intentionally.
In case of the latter I would check that, as it sounds too harsh to me.
Second, you took the speech-fragment as it is, isn't it?
I would take just some well choosen samples from it, and try to create an atmosphere with them.
Forget about the actual content, that never works very well in music.
At least you get a more interesting result, as you leave the interpretation to the listener.
Good job anyway
