SBC and SB404

Hi!
I had this problem for years now,just wondering if it is a bug(i think-often reproduced )or if i am the only one:
The SBC is in my system not controllable via midi(assignment fails),which is a pity,cause it's a great device.
Also:the SB404 does not put any midi data out to e.g.control other synths.
(you can easily work this out by using modular patch,just to mention this).
Anybody experienced the same?

No it' s normal the spectral balance doesn't have a midi in, but as you say it's shame, it would be nice to be able to control the setting in real time with cubase for example, I'm sure some interesting effects could be had there.
