I would love to extend greetings to all my fellow atheists. Hang in there, it's almost over... until next year and the next year and the next.
There was a great NPR story on Christmas in China and Japan today. It's getting very popular there in large cities. They don't know much about Jesus but they sure do enjoy the tacky ornaments, bad music and gifting. I'm sure Ebay will see a major jump in activity very soon!

The heart always knows what's right.... that's why 50% of all marriages end in divorce.

Christmas, at least in its forms like the moment of the year (the winter solstice) and the gifts (prosperity) is a very ancient Roman celebration of the peace and wellness (Saturnalia), much older than 2000 years and with that meaning I like to celebrate it and to wish all the best for everyone.

Gary, Have you ever heard this?:
"I thought I was in love, but it turned out I wasn't."
By definition, if you think you are in love then you are the way I figure it. It's all fake anyway.

maybe.
but that doesn't explain a man wiping his wifes butt when she can't do it by herself, or the stranger rushing in to assist in an emergency.
love is real, romance is not...
